“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and the one who knocks, the door will be opened.” Matthew 7:7-8
Have you ever been faced with a challenging situation as a leader? If so, you are not alone. When you are a leader, you have to make decisions that affects others. Your decision as a leader may bring consequences or rewards. As a godly leader, you have to seek God for direction. You should make spiritual decisions. Don’t let your flesh overrule your spirit.
In Exodus 3:10-22 God called Moses to lead the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt. God was to bring Moses in the presence of the king of Egypt. God knew Moses was qualified for the job, but Moses felt insufficient within himself. He felt he did not have the strength, knowledge nor wisdom to lead God’s people. Moses told God, “I am a nobody! How can I go?” God answered, “I will be with you.” Moses asked, “What shall I say?” God replied, “Tell them I am who I am sent you. The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.” God also directed Moses Where to lead the children of Israel to; the land that was flowing with milk and honey - the land of the Canaanites.
When you are a Godly leader you must seek God for wisdom, knowledge and direction just as Moses did in Exodus. Moses did not rely on his own strength, knowledge or wisdom. Always seek God and lean not to your own understanding. Acknowledge God in prayer, fasting and in God’s word. Wait for an answer. God will direct your path.
