Leadership Series: Integrity

"HOW DO YOU MEASURE UP?"

Measure – The act or process of ascertaining the extent, dimensions, quantity, etc., of something, esp. by comparison with a standard; measurement; to judge or assess someone’s character, capabilities, etc.

Rev 11:1 – “And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein.

Integrity – Your “right now” commitment to righteousness. Unconditional commitment to a Godly value system that produces a consistent, indisputable Godly system.

CAN GOD TRUST YOU TO BE WHO YOU PROFESS YOU ARE?

Being a person of character in the past does not mean you are a person of integrity today. Integrity is maintained in tough times.

Put your integrity in order:

·        Make a conscious decision to always tell the truth

·        Tell the whole truth

·        Decide to be like God. Do everything in your power to do what you said

·        Face the consequences of your mistakes

·        Establish consistent behavior

The benefits of integrity will cause others to listen to you. It causes doors to open for you, your children and others. It positions you for promotion.

The scriptures are very clear about our character being judged by God.

“For the time is coming that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?” I Peter 4:17
